Tips for buying air conditioner

Air conditioning is an indispensable device in any household, not only in the hot season but also in the cold season. In addition to the function of balancing temperature, air conditioning also brings many other uses such as deodorizing, sterilizing, creating ions... to protect and improve health. Therefore, being able to choose to buy an air conditioner that suits your budget, usage needs, as well as ensuring durability in the future is what almost every consumer wants. Therefore, Mitsubishi Heavy would like to suggest some tips for choosing an air conditioner that everyone should know.

1. Choose to buy an inverter air conditioner or a regular air conditioner

Inverter air conditioners only promote the ability to save electricity when the space that needs air conditioning has the same temperature as the controlled temperature, so when the inverter air conditioner is used properly, it will promote the efficiency of saving electricity from 40% - 70% compared to a regular air conditioner. Therefore, if you are planning to buy an inverter air conditioner, consider the function and space that needs air conditioning.

2. Choose to buy an air conditioner suitable for the space used

This is not only optimal for cooling and heating but also helps save electricity. Determine where the air conditioner you need to buy will be placed and what the area and volume of the room is, usually each 1m2 room has a cooling capacity of about 500 - 700BTU/m2, depending on the energy efficiency of the machine and the room conditions, for example, a 20m2 room requires about 12,000BTU (with a machine with 4-star energy efficiency or higher). In addition, you must also make sure that everything is tightly combined so that your air-conditioned room has no problem providing cold air and maintaining humidity in the room.

3. Choose quality air conditioners from reputable brands

Currently, there are many cheap air conditioner brands on the market with unclear origins, prices are only 2/3 or even 1/2 of the air conditioners of major brands. Using these products will cool less than air conditioners with clear brands and origins, have lower durability and consume more electricity, often break down, and even harm health when gas leaks while sleeping. Therefore, when choosing an air conditioner, consumers need to be alert, careful, and always put quality first. One of the major air conditioner brands recommended is Mitsubishi Heavy Industries air conditioner.

4. Choose to buy an air conditioner with the right design and size

In terms of design, consumers should choose air conditioners with a simple design but no less convenient, luxurious, and suitable for the home space. Including:

a. Wall-mounted type (2 blocks):

This type consists of two separate parts, also known as 2-block air conditioners, the indoor part is also called the indoor unit and the outdoor part is called the outdoor unit. The indoor unit is installed by hanging on the wall (so it is called a wall-mounted machine). The outdoor condenser can be hung or placed on the floor as long as the space is airy enough to dissipate heat and reduce noise. The two condensers are connected to each other by pipes, usually copper pipes, along with an electrical wiring system to control the operation of the machine. This type of air conditioner is suitable for most consumers because of its simple installation, low investment and repair costs.

b. Floor-standing air conditioner:

Usually installed in living rooms, places with large spaces and large heat exchange, requiring a lot of strong air flow such as restaurants, halls, etc.

c. Concealed ceiling air conditioner:

This type of machine is designed to be installed in spaces with low noise levels, it is suitable for luxurious resting spaces such as family bedrooms, hotels, etc. The indoor unit is installed in a false ceiling so we cannot see the machine, the air vents are arranged to suit the ceiling space, but pay attention to the air flow to ensure the room is cool and warm enough when operating, normally the machine operates at maximum efficiency when the blowers are directly attached to the machine.

d. Duct-connected ceiling type:

This type is often installed in pre-designed villas. This type is suitable for more spaces, but the noise level is often higher than the hidden ceiling type due to the large air flow. Suitable spaces include bedrooms, living rooms, halls, factories, etc.
